Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8
Now there is a reason for purity and for living a holy life. When our hearts are pure our eyes are opened. There are many things said about why to live in holiness. There are also many frugal attempts at it that just end in despair. Maybe we want to live on holiness without knowing the real why or the best one for that matter. Maybe we want to try it just beause it’s the right thing to do or because the Bible says so or because good things will come our way if we do. I have tried for all these reasons and many more. But reading Matthew 5:8 brings something stronger, something that can radically change all I have been through, all that I have seen.
The eternal God, the invisible one becomes visible to a certain type of people and I would like to be one of them. The pure of heart shall see him. I shall see him. Now, there is a reason.
Guard your heart, open your eyes.
